Tapirs have many enemies. The enemies are tigers, leopards, jaguars, pythons, and crocodiles. It seems very odd that the python is one of the enemies of the tapir. Tapirs have two ways to defend themselves. The first way is to use their sharp teeth .

The other way is to run into the water so the animal can not get it. Tapirs are very interesting. They reproduce in April and May, but every other year. Babies are born in thirteen  month  after they mated...

The young is called  a calf. Tapirs' life expectancy is thirty years. Boy arn't you gald that  you are not a tapir!

There are not many tapirs left. Sadly, Scientist have not found the exact population, but all we know is that tapirs are endangered. There endangered because they are hunted for food and fur. They  can also not be found in Costa Rica.  Isn't that sad?

Did you know? Some poison dart frogs are not actually poisonous. The most poisonous of all the frogs is the golden poison frog it has enough toxin to kill ten to twenty men or about ten thousand mice...INCREDIBLE! 

Poison dart frogs can be found in trees, as well as under leaves and logs and rocks on the floor of the forest. Because of their size, from 1/2 to 2 inches long, they are hard to see. Poison frogs warn predators with brilliant colors and patterns. There are many species of poison frogs that can be found in every color under the sun! They prey on invertebrates, especially certain ant species, which build up really strong poisons in the frog.
